If you need someone to help you understand English or someone to sign for you, your provider’s office can help. You can have a language or sign language interpreter at your appointments if you want one, at no cost to you. You, a family member or caregiver can request to have an interpreter at your appointment for you. When you call for an appointment, tell your provider’s office that you need an interpreter and in which language. If you cannot keep the appointment, call your provider’s office right away.
